School District Holds Movie Day, Only Lets The Boys Go
The Dallas school district decided to take all fifth graders to see the movie Red Tails. The fifth graders are learning about WWII and Black History Month, so lesson plans were tailored around that subject matter.
Except they didn’t take any of the female students to see the movie.
Their excuse is that the movie theater wasn’t big enough for all the fifth graders. Yeah, because movie theaters never show a movie more than once. All the girls had to stay at the school while the boys got to see a new movie.
Why just the boys? Why? Who decided that a good solution to the space problem was just to exclude all the girls? This is some male privilege bullshit right here.
